New England Patriots (7-5)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Man what a lousy game to watch. I mean, it was literally
excruciating! A combination of dropped passes, strip sacks and
interceptions just killed the Patriots yesterday. Yesterday afternoon
in what was an important game for the Patriots, the Pittsburgh
Steelers came into Foxborough and beat the Patriots (33-10). The game
was tied late in the second quarter and the Patriots had the chance to
take the lead but the drive stalled and then Stephen Gostkowski missed
a 29 yard field goal wide to the right keeping the score tied. The
Steelers seemed to explode in the third quarter as they would score 13
points and completely dominate the rest of the game. In addition to
Rodney Harrison and Adalius Thomas, Ty Warren was also out of last
nights game. Pierre Woods would take his place. The loss puts The
Patriots in a tough spot play off wise. The Colts won in Cleveland
(yeah, I know the Browns gave it away at the end) and they hold the
tie breaker. The Jets did loose but they are still the division
leader and it is looking more and more like it the Patriots are to
make the playoffs in 2008, they are going to have to do it by winning
the division. The Patriots up coming schedule is not that bad so they
do have a shot to go 10-6 or even 11-5 and take the division.

Game Notes
Wes Welker would see his streak of games with 6 or more catches come
to an end. He would be hit late after the whistle with a cheap shot
in the third quarter and wouldn’t return. Matt Cassel’s chance for an
NFL record third straight game with 400 or more yards went by the
boards as he would throw for 169. The loss has the Patriots looking
in from the out side of the playoff picture right now. They are two
games behind Indianapolis due to the loss to the Colts and they are
one game behind the Jets in the AFC East as they also lost yesterday
