New England Patriots (6-4)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Man, what a roller coaster ride that was. Last night the New York
Jets beat the New England Patriots in Over Time (34-31) at Gillette
Stadium to move into sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
The win also gives the Jets the second seed in the AFC with a
potential first round play off bye. The way the Jets were celebrating
after Jay Feeley’s game winning field goal was like they had just won
the super bowl. The Jets are at full strength with no real injuries.
The Patriots were without Ty Warren and Adalius Thomas, which were
Added to the already growing list of players that are out like Tom
Brady, Laurence Maroney, Lamont Jordan, Rodney Harrison and well you
get the idea. The fact that the Patriots are (6-4) with the wild card
lead after all the injuries is just gravy for me. What a great job
coaching Bill Belichick has done. So far he deserves the coach of the
year award. The Patriots are now (2-2) in the division and (1-1)
against New York. Matt Cassel had a break out game last night
throwing for 400 yards, 3 touch downs, no interceptions and he rushed
for over 60 yards. Can you say AFC offensive player of the week?

Game Notes
The loss puts the Patriots at (6-4) and in second place in the AFC
East. With the over time loss, Bill Belichick is now (7-1) in over
time games with the Patriots. Sammy Morris was activated before last
night’s game after a calf injury had kept him out of action. Brett
Favre started his 263rd game last night. Adalius Thomas and Ty Warren
were both inactive for last night’s game. Jerod Mayo would leave the
game late in the second half with an injury but would return in the
second half. Dan Koppen would leave in the third quarter replaced by
Russ Hochstein but would return.
