Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Well, what an incredibly fantastic season! Yes, it is a shame that
the Patriots did not get into the playoffs but hey, they finished
(11-5). They did this with out the best player in the NFL and 13
other key players on injured reserve! To me, any thing over 9 wins is
absolutely fantastic and coach Bill Belichick should be coach of the
year! But it will probably go to someone like Tony Sparano. The only
thing I will say about that is the Dolphins turn around is due to Bill
Parcells! Yes, Chad Pennington was a good pick up. But the team did
not dazzle any one and had to win by trick plays and smoke and
mirrors. They will be one and done next weekend in the wild card round
vs. the Ravens. The Patriots were peaking at the right time and they
would have gone deep in the playoffs. But like I said, what a season.
We saw Matt Cassel bloom into a very good NFL quarterback. We also
saw first round pick Jerrod Mayo bloom into a very good NFL line
backer. And to think, I wanted the Pats to get Vernon Gholston who
was picked by the Jets and has been basically a non factor there.
Brandon Meriweather is also getting to be a good safety as Rodney
Harrison went to the injured reserve list.. Let’s also hope that the
latest rumor about Tom Brady’s bad knee is false.

Bill Belichick is now 16-2 against the Buffalo Bills. .The game time
temperature was 36 degrees but the wind was gusting up to 70 miles per
hour and had each goal post listing to its right side. Randy Moss
notched his 9th season in which he has caught at least 1,000 yards.
Despite being 11-5 New England will not get into the Post season for
the first time since 2002. In that year, the Patriots were also in a
three way tie and needed help to get into the playoffs. The Patriots
finished with a 9-7 record that year.

New England Patriots (10-5)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Wow what a great game! It reminded me of the old days. Well, not
that old. Remember 2003 with all the snow fireworks against the
Dolphins? Pretty cool. It seems like it has been a while since the
Patriots played in the snow. Anyway, the Patriots totally destroyed
the Arizona Cardinals yesterday at Gillette Stadium by a final score
of (47-7). The Patriots are now (10-5) and are still tied for the AFC
East lead. The other good news yesterday came from Seattle as Mike
Holmgren’s final game at Qwest field as head coach was featured in the
win over the New York Jets. The Jets are now (9-6) and in order for
them to win the division they need the Patriots to loose Sunday in
Buffalo and they need to beat the Dolphins. The Dolphins are (10-5)
and are tied with the Pats. They only have to win the game to win the
division. The Patriots need to win and have the Jets beat the
dolphins to repeat as division champions. The Patriots also have to
have the Ravens loose their game next week and win in Buffalo if they
are to win the wild card spot behind the Indianapolis Colts who have
clinched the number five seed Thursday in Jacksonville. The victory
by the Patriots marked the 10th consecutive time the Patriots have won
in the snow in Foxborough.

in the first quarter. At one point, New England held the Cardinals to
6 straight three and outs after Arizona had only 25 all season.
Stephen Gostkowski broke the franchise single season record with
successful field goals after getting his 32nd, 33rd and 34th. He
passed Tony Franklin in that department who had the franchise record

Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Well that was a game that the Patriots had to have. The Patriots had
the 4:15 start time and were able to see both the New York Jets and
Miami Dolphins both win their games. The Patriots went on to beat the
Oakland Raiders in the black hole by a final score of (49-26) to keep
pace with Miami and New York. The Patriots are tied atop the AFC East
at (9-5). The problem the Patriots face is that both Miami and New
York hold tie breakers over the Patriots so if either New York or
Miami wins their final two games, they would win the AFC East crown.
As for the wild card, the Baltimore Ravens lost yesterday to the
Steelers and they are now (9-5) but still have the tie breaker over
the Patriots and Dolphins who are still technically behind the Jets in
the division. So the Patriots could end up going (11-5) and not make
the playoffs. That would be a crappy scenario. Let’s all hope that
Miami and New York loose next Sunday! Here is an interesting stat,
with the loss yesterday, the Oakland Raiders have become the first
team in the National Football League to loose at least 11 games for 6
consecutive seasons. The snow bowl game that the Patriots won in Over
Time (Yes the tuck rule game) sent the Patriots to a dynasty and the
Raiders to the bottom of the league.

Welker recorded his 100th catch of the season yesterday as he caught a

New England Patriots (8-5)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Man what a nail biter that was! The end result was great but it was
not a comfortable game to watch as a Patriots fan. Yesterday the
Patriots went in to Seattle at Qwest Field and beat the Sea Hawks
(24-21) in a game that Seattle pretty much had in the bag and led up
to near the end of the fourth quarter. It was a victory that the
Patriots desperately needed. The victory puts New England in a three
way tie for first place in the AFC East with New York and Miami with
a record of (8-5). The Jets lost in San Francisco and Miami won in
Toronto against the Bills. Yesterday’s game featured the return of
linebackers Junior Seau and Rosevelt Colvin. Adalius Thomas was
officially placed on Injured Reserve to make room for signings. And
speaking of injuries, as if it wasn’t bad enough that Ty Warren and
Pierre Woods was out, Tedy Bruschi and Vince Wilfork went out of
yesterday’s game and did not return. Regardless of what the Patriots
final record is and where they finish in the standings, I think that
Bill Belichick definitely should be considered heavily for coach of
the year. There have been so many injuries that the team is almost
totally different. Hopefully the additions of Junior Seau and
Rosevelt Colvin can help a growingly depleted linebacker core.

New England Patriots (7-5)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Man what a lousy game to watch. I mean, it was literally
excruciating! A combination of dropped passes, strip sacks and
interceptions just killed the Patriots yesterday. Yesterday afternoon
in what was an important game for the Patriots, the Pittsburgh
Steelers came into Foxborough and beat the Patriots (33-10). The game
was tied late in the second quarter and the Patriots had the chance to
take the lead but the drive stalled and then Stephen Gostkowski missed
a 29 yard field goal wide to the right keeping the score tied. The
Steelers seemed to explode in the third quarter as they would score 13
points and completely dominate the rest of the game. In addition to
Rodney Harrison and Adalius Thomas, Ty Warren was also out of last
nights game. Pierre Woods would take his place. The loss puts The
Patriots in a tough spot play off wise. The Colts won in Cleveland
(yeah, I know the Browns gave it away at the end) and they hold the
tie breaker. The Jets did loose but they are still the division
leader and it is looking more and more like it the Patriots are to
make the playoffs in 2008, they are going to have to do it by winning
the division. The Patriots up coming schedule is not that bad so they
do have a shot to go 10-6 or even 11-5 and take the division.

in the third quarter and wouldn’t return. Matt Cassel’s chance for an
NFL record third straight game with 400 or more yards went by the
boards as he would throw for 169. The loss has the Patriots looking
in from the out side of the playoff picture right now. They are two
games behind Indianapolis due to the loss to the Colts and they are
one game behind the Jets in the AFC East as they also lost yesterday

Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Was that a great game or what? Talk about pounding a team into
submission! Yesterday the New England Patriots went into Dolphin
Stadium and beat the Dolphins (48-28). The Patriots defense did give
up big plays in the secondary but they did well in shutting down the
running game which Miami is known for. I hope that Bill Belichick
finally starts to get the respect that he deserves. This could very
well be his greatest year of coaching in his career! Remember, Tom
Brady, Laurence Maroney, Adalius Thomas, Rodney Harrison, Lamont
Jordan and Terrance Wheatley are all out. And still the Patriots are
(7-4), one game behind the New York Jets in the AFC East. Matt Cassel
threw for over 400 yards yesterday becoming the first member of the
New England Patriots to throw for over 400 yards in back to back
games. He has over 800 yards and 6 touchdowns in his past two games.
That is because of great coaching! The Patriots have also gone over
500 yards of total offense in each of the last two games which is also
a Franchise record. The Patriots have also won their 23rd straight
game when scoring first. Bill Belichick is now (112-44) overall as
the Patriots Head Coach. The Patriots also stopped the Dolphins
winning streak at four games.

happened. Crowder and Matt Light were both ejected after a fight
broke out between the two in the fourth quarter after a Stephen
Gostkowski field goal made the score (41-28). The Patriots went over
500 total yards in each of the last two games, that is also a

Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
Man, what a roller coaster ride that was. Last night the New York
Jets beat the New England Patriots in Over Time (34-31) at Gillette
Stadium to move into sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
The win also gives the Jets the second seed in the AFC with a
potential first round play off bye. The way the Jets were celebrating
after Jay Feeley’s game winning field goal was like they had just won
the super bowl. The Jets are at full strength with no real injuries.
The Patriots were without Ty Warren and Adalius Thomas, which were
Added to the already growing list of players that are out like Tom
Brady, Laurence Maroney, Lamont Jordan, Rodney Harrison and well you
get the idea. The fact that the Patriots are (6-4) with the wild card
lead after all the injuries is just gravy for me. What a great job
coaching Bill Belichick has done. So far he deserves the coach of the
year award. The Patriots are now (2-2) in the division and (1-1)
against New York. Matt Cassel had a break out game last night
throwing for 400 yards, 3 touch downs, no interceptions and he rushed
for over 60 yards. Can you say AFC offensive player of the week?

New England Patriots (6-3)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!Man, what a great performance from the
Patriots Defensive Unit! The Buffalo Bills do have an explosive kick
off return and offensive unit. This was indicated as late in the
fourth quarter Otis McKelvin would run a kick off back 85 yards to get
to the Patriots 14 yard line. Yesterday at Gillette Stadium the New
England Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills (20-10) to take control of the
AFC East. At the moment they are tied with the New York Jets at (6-3)
but the Patriots are percentage points in the lead as they have
already beaten the Jets in game two at Giants Stadium. The Patriots
played great in all phases of the game. The only mistakes being
Stephen Gostkowski’s missed 49 yard field goal in the second quarter
and the kick off that went out of bounds near the Buffalo 2 yard line
that would bring the ball up to the 40 yard line for the Bills. The
running game also continues to improve for the Patriots as Benjarvus
Green-Ellis rushed for over 100 yards and got his first NFL touch down
in the fourth quarter capping a team record 19 play drive that ate up
9:08 of clock. With the Victory, the Patriots are now (15-3) against
the Bills in the last 18 meetings and have not lost to them at

and used up 9:08 of clock. In the last 18 meeting with the Bills, the
Patriots are now (15-3) and have not lost to them at Gillette Stadium.
Benjarvus Green-Ellis had his first touch down in the NFL in the

Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
That was surely the one that got away. The Patriots lost to the
Indianapolis Colts (18-15) last night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana.
In a game of squandered opportunities, in the end it was just a
stupid penalty on David Thomas after Benjarvus Green-Ellis had gotten
the first down pushing them back to the Colt 45 yard line. On 4th &
16, Matt Cassel would get intercepted on the Colt 25 yard line but
what a drive killer. That is the play that changed the game. Up to
that point the Patriots were moving the ball on the Colts quite well
and chewing up the clock also. But worst case scenario is that the
Patriots are now (5-3) and tied for first place in the AFC Ease with
the Bills and the Jets. The Patriots have already beaten the Jets in
game two and the Bills come to Gillette Stadium next Sunday. So last
night’s game was much more important to the Colts as they are back at
.500 at (4-4) but it still would have been sweet for the Patriots to
win. The Patriots definitely bring out the best in Peyton Manning and
the Colts. But missed opportunities in the red zone cost the
Patriots, when They took the lead at (12-7) it should have been
(27-7) as the Patriots went for the 2 point conversion and failed to
execute the play.

New England Patriots (5-2)
Hey Fellow Patriots Fans!!!!
All right, back to back home wins. That was just the kind of
confidence building game that Matt Cassel needed. In a rematch of
Super Bowl XXXII the New England Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams
(23-16) yesterday at Gillette Stadium. Cassel let the Patriots in his
first 4th quarter come back as an NFL quarterback. He is (5-2) as
quarterback for the New England Patriots since taking over for Tom
Brady. He did throw back to back interceptions but to his credit, Wes
Welker slipped and fell before the second one and did not get to where
the ball was thrown. He did have a touchdown pass to Kevin Faulk, he
probably should have had two as Randy Moss had one bounce off of his
numbers in the end zone. Sammy Morris was out so Kevin Faulk and
Benjarvus Green-Ellis shared the load at running back. The Patriots
did not seemingly run the ball that much, especially after the monster
250+ rushing yards against Denver last week. Cornerback Deltha O’Neil
left the game with an injury but returned in the 4th quarter in time
to intercept Marc Bulger and pretty much seal the game for the
Patriots. The defense got good pressure on Bulger as Adalius Thomas,
Richard Seymour and Ty Warren all had sacks in the victory.

Game Notes
For the first time in franchise history, the New England Patriots
played a Penalty Free game. The Patriots are (5-2) and tied for first
place in the AFC East after Buffalo lost in Miami. Randy Moss caught
his 800th career reception. He also caught for over 100 yards marking
the twelfth time he has done that as a Patriot. Matt Cassel
engineered his first 4th quarter come back as an NFL starting
quarterback. St. Louis star running back Stephen Jackson did not play
due to a thigh injury. Stephen Gostkowski continues to have a great
season as hit all three of his field goal attempts from 30, 27 and 41
yards out.
